LA -based super-producer Jennifer Lee, better known as TOKiMONSTA, is set to embark on a massive world tour and summer festival dates, beginning this month and running through the end of the year, in support of her upcoming album, Lune Rouge. Slated for fall release via her own Young Art Records imprint, the album’s name translates to “red moon” and is named after the rare scientific phenomenon that holds an ominous weight across cultures worldwide, as also depicted in her just released cover art. Today, she also shares a mesmerizing new video for the album’s first single, “Don’t Call Me” featuring Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna. The video, premiered earlier on Stereogum, features both TOKIMONSTA and Yuna amongst shifting natural and supernatural landscapes, with Yuna clones multiplying while TOKIMONSTA stays at the helm controlling the soundscape.

While their fellow Miamian ES.P took a more old school route in his remix of Gavin Turek and Tokimonsta’s hit “Surrender,” producers Paperwater have taken a deeper, darker approach in reimagining this new favorite.
Raising the tempo to a faster pace that’s perfectly suited to late-night dance floor steppin’, Paperwater has transformed the tune into a flawless after hours banger that nails it with the most important ingredient: a deep and bouncing bass line crafted in sultry, smoldering tones that are sure to have you making bedroom eyes at your fellow partygoers. True to the track’s title, the remix invites you to “surrender” and leave it all behind…on the dance floor that is.
After recently releasing the “Frontline” / “Don’t Fight It” single via IHC 1NFINITY, Gavin Turek is back to share a TOKiMONSTA remix of “Frontline” as well as news of a forthcoming collaborative EP between the two artists.
Less than a year into it’s existence, the disco-tinged “Frontline” is the third single from the LA-based label IHC 1NFINITY who have already made waves with singles from Australian pop chanteuse Chela and DIY dance producer Pictureplane. “Frontline” / “Don’t Fight It” is out now via IHC 1NFINITY and can be purchased here. A remix package featuring the TOKiMONSTA remix and another remix from StarRo is due out June 26th.
