Prince Innocence – Polished

Talvi Faustmann and Josh McIntyre are Prince Innocence from Toronto. The two met in high school in 2007 and their relationship has been equal parts complicated and creative since then.

Today, Prince Innocence debuts their latest single, “Polished” – a hazy, considered gem on which Josh reflects: “Polished” is an ode to the vapidity and fantasy of modern love. A song that speaks to yearning, pleasure, pain — about that intermingling. We’ve always worked best with a minimal, stripped down structures and “Polished” is the culmination of that feeling. It’s the quintessential representation of our sound.

“Polished” is the project’s first new material in over a year and follows 2015’s slow burners, “I Don’t Care b/w Manic.” 2013 saw the release of their debut EP, Lapse.

Canadian synthpop duo Prince Innocence have shared the official video for “I Don’t Care“, taken from their Easy Life EP. Directed by Chris Levett.

‘I Don’t Care’ is our anthem of apathy, its about being unable to experience pleasure in day to day moments.. For the music video we wanted to make something that doesn’t follow any sort of narrative, that looks almost like a screen saver in its repetitive motions.”
