Twin Peaks Theme (Flying Lotus Remix)

Twin Peaks Theme (Akira The Don Remix)

Because you expected no less, I humbly present to you my damn fine version of the classic TWIN PEAKS theme.

I’ve been working on this on and off for about 5 years. Look out for a vocal version featuring H-Town legend Fat Tony and myself rapping our asses off shortly.

DJ Shadow – Systematic feat. Nas

DJ Shadow and Nas unveil their first-ever collaboration with “Systematic”, which will also feature on the Season 4 premiere of HBO’s Silicon Valley April 23. The song finds Shadow and Nas joining forces over a deeply funky, boom-bap beat. Shadow’s deft touch of old-school turntablism and scratching sets the scene for a fiery, scathing performance from Nas. “Systematic” is the first track to be released from Mass Appeal Records’ forthcoming ‘Silicon Valley: The Soundtrack’ out on June 16.

Johnny Jewel – The Hacker [Music Inspired By Ghost In The Shell]

ghost in the shell

The world of Ghost In The Shell naturally echoes with a synthesis of automated sounds, industrialized textures and cyberpunk artistry. Johnny Jewel’s composition “The Hacker” begins with portentous ticking punctuated by electronic swells as it rises towards a cinematic break that’s as stunning as it is scintillating. The track which appears on Music Inspired By The Motion Picture Ghost In The Shell [Paramount Pictures via Kobalt Music Recordings]–due out on March 31–is now available with the album’s pre-order at: https://ghostintheshell.lnk.to/album

Listen to Johnny Jewel’s “The Hacker” now here:

From the pages of the original 1989 Japanese manga by iconic Masamune Shirow to the 2017 Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures and Reliance Entertainment’s big screen adaptation of Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson as its heroine, this immortal tale seamlessly lends itself to the ebb and flow of electronic music.
