Video: New Jackson – Anya’s Piano

new jackson

Dublin based producer New Jackson’s forthcoming LP for All City, From Night to Night is exactly the kind of house we’re besotted with here at THUMP. Laidback, downtempo, the kind of house that finds solace in the shadows on sun-baked days.

Directed by legendary skate photographer Richard Gilligan, the video for the elegiac, downtempo single “Anya’s Piano” takes us on a woozy stroll through the highways and byways of New York; a stuttering love letter to a city of endless possibilities.

New Jackson – Electric Bl

Cin Cin is back with their first release of 2017, complete a snazzy new makeover. Musically the quality continues with Dublin’s New Jackson following up excellent releases on Hivern Discs and Permanent Vacation with 2 new deep cuts, one of which may be somehow vaguely familiar….

On the flip new kid on the bloc Elliott Lion serves us two peaky discoacidtrax poised for some hands in the air moments.

Shit Robot – Is There No End (New Jackson + Khotin Remixes )

shit robot.png

“Is There No End” is an a rambling five minutes of shuffling techno where a spoken-word vocal describes a man’s stream-of-consciousness journey to the club, only to get kicked out at the party’s peak. Narrative vocals are brilliantly delivered by Jayson Green, former lead singer of punk bands Orchid & Panthers.

Remixes are handled by New Jackson (Hivern, Permanent Vacation) & Khotin (1080p, Normals Welcome). Both remixers deliver long form, gorgeous slow motion disco interpretations of the original, foregoing the manic vocals and creating what might be two alternate come-downs to an indulgent and night on the tiles.
