Continuing on from their well received EP ‘California Love’, London duo Eli & Fur has released their highly anticipated, ‘On My Own’ featuring Forrest, via their own NYX Music imprint.
‘On My Own’ features the smooth vocals of Forrest. The track is armed with club facing dance beats and short synth melodies. Catchy hi-hats and Forrest’s vocals are later introduced to the track and create a true testament to Eli & Fur’s provocative sound. Taking this sound further are fellow London DJ, Wax Wings and revered Spanish DJ, Uner. Wax Wings takes Eli & Fur’s original track and adds an atmospheric touch to his rework. Showcasing his talents, he has also added hypnotic melodic synths and reverbed the original vocal track. Belonging to a legion of the new generation of Spanish electronic music producers, Uner has taken ‘On My Own’ and almost transformed it entirely. With mixed percussion, modulating synths, Uner has added his tech house touch to the track.
Describing the label and upcoming collaboration, the duo said, “We’re being sent so much great un-signed music, it feels like the perfect time to step things up on NYX Music. We want to take risks, support new artists & young talent. We’ve got some great releases lined up and our collaboration with Forrest kicks things off nicely!”
To add to Eli & Fur’s musical success, they are the recipients of the coveted career-boosting PRS Momentum Music Award this year. Since its formation in 2013, PRS for Music Foundation – the UK’s leading charitable funder of new music and talent development across all genres, has invested in 120 diverse artists during crucial stages in their careers through the Momentum Music Fund. Previous recipients are Years & Years, Låpsley and Ghostpoet.
Set to make a true statement with ‘On My Own’ this summer, Eli & Fur are on course to continue on with their success with a series of collaborations and mixes coming soon.
