Up-and-coming producer Embody is currently riding a wave of success after remixing John Newman’s iconic ‘Come and Get It’ to a rapturous response a few weeks back. Now, he continues with a return to his own material and a brand new original track, ‘Dreamin’ ft Camden Cox’ – a tropically infused affair set to propel this promising talent further into the limelight.
The quality and production value of ‘Dreamin’ is clear from the outset, as an impossibly catchy guitar riff enthralls the listener. Steady percussion builds the track’s energy with steel drums instilling the mood with tropical summer sensibility. As Camden Cox’s crisp yet glossy and layered pop vocals pierce through the composition, one is immediately drawn to the astute combination of melancholic harmonics and upbeat tropical soul driven by the steady beat of the kick drum.
Lithuanian born and London based producer Embody returns with another collaboration with Barnaby. 6 months since Embody revealed his first solo production, ‘Make A Stand’, has seen him achieve over 5 million plays for his music and remixes.

Honne have unveiled an Embody remix of breakthrough track ‘Warm On A Cold Night‘, as well as announcing details of their second London show: with Sebright Arms selling out for November 24th 2014, an Electrowerkz date will take place on February 3rd 2015 (on sale Friday). Forthcoming single ‘All in The Value’ is released on November 24th 2014 via Super Recordings (AlunaGeorge, Bondax).
Honne’s escapist but intimate blend of nocturnal R&B with Classic Soul songwriting saw them emerge, fully formed, with one of the most-blogged songs this summer on debut track, ‘Warm On A Cold Night’. Their second release, ‘All In The Value‘, suggests this was no fluke. Starting sparsely with mellow keys, hip-hop beats and just singer Andy’s dulcet, James-Blake-esque vocal, ‘All In The Value’ digs deeper into a love of Frank Ocean together with an almost late-80s groove inspired by the productions of Quincy Jones. From their shared, crackling radio intro, lyrically Honne’s new single is a neat counterpart to ‘Warm On A Cold Night’, and its romantic invitation to forget your problems and run away together: flashing backwards, ‘All In The Value’ is a snapshot of a failing relationship, where you can feel the other person’s interest has faded (“I want you / to really want me too / because it’sall in the value”).
Following his first solo track “Make A Stand feat. Barnaby”, Lithuanian born and London based producer Embody unveils his new track ‘Bad News’ featuring vocals from Obenawa. Anything but “Bad News”, Embody’s signature tropical sound brings a sonic return to the summer we long for.
The track is available as a free download from his Facebook page.
Embody started to get attention with his production for SLK on her recent ‘Form’ EP – which has been getting a lot of radio support thanks to Embody’s unique fingerprints over the tracks. He has has recently remixed Lana Del Rey (Once Upon A Dream), Laura Welsh (Break The Fall), Milky Chance (Stolen Dance), Last Lynx (Curtains) and Ang Low (Can’t Describe Her) to name a few.
