Following on from their Record Store Day ‘Looped EP’ release, which featured remixes by Dauwd and Lubomyr Melnyk, Kiasmos – made up of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen – return with three new tracks and a remix by Tale Of Us.
Recorded in various locations including Reykjavík and Berlin, the EP opens with ‘Drawn’, a four-minute percussion fuelled track with gentle piano motifs. ‘Gaunt’ features the addition of ambient synths and a drum loop, underpinned by slow-moving chords. Title track ‘Swept’ which the duo offered to fans as a surprise gift in form of a free download card at previous show dates, showcases a more club-oriented beat structure alongside Kiasmos’ signature emotive instrumentation.
Closing the EP is a remix from Berlin-based duo Tale of Us who met Kiasmos in London and twist the original downbeat title track into their distinctively dark aesthetic. Pulsating hats and a driving bass loop add pace as the track builds toward an epic breakdown.
The ‘Swept EP’ will be released on 12”/DL via Erased Tapes on November 20th, 2015.
The Wayward boys have remixed Fine Print’s track ‘About You’ taken from their recently released debut EP, which was released last week on the B3SCI label. The original was a fairly blissed out and soulful track and Wayward have given it a more R&B balearic slickness to it, starting it off steady before stepping up the pace as the track progresses. Check it out below.
Stockholm artist MIYNT has released the official video for track “Nick Drake,” debuted by i-D. The video twists through frenetic scenes shot with sharp DIY precision, of which MIYNT tells i-D, “The song is kind of a restless story. I was listening to a lot of Nick Drake the summer I made it. For the video, me and my friend Jakob were trying to catch that restless feeling.”
“Nick Drake” is released alongside single “Civil War” comprising MIYNT’s debut 7″ white vinyl, out now via B3SCI Records. Purchase here.
Elohim – whose debut AA-side single “She Talks Too Much” / “Xanax” is being released on July 24 via limited edition 12″ vinyl – is excited to share the latest remix of the track. Detroit’s Gosh Pith put their mark on the song and earlier today the UK’s Crack In The Road said, “Last month, LA’s Elohim dropped one of the most impressive debut tracks of the year, with her CHVRCHES meets bubblegum pop future hit “She Talks Too Much.”…not only a killer track in it’s own right, it also feels prime for remixing, with a couple of reworks already appearing since release. This dance floor ready edit comes courtesy of rising Detroit duo GOSH PITH, layering the addictive synth hook with phenomenal results.”

Los Angeles singer/songwriter Chelsea Lankes follows up her song of sweet rebellion “Down For Whatever” with “Too Young To Fall In Love,” a cover of one of Mötley Crüe’s earlier singles and deeper cuts.
“I’ve always been a fan of the 80s and particularly hair metal,” Chelsea says. “There are so many great lyrics and melodies from that era and dressed up a little differently, they can still be a really great pop song.”
Both “Too Young To Fall In Love” and “Down For Whatever” are out now via B3SCI Records on limited edition 7-inch vinyl.
On the heels of rowdy and successful West Coast tour – where they played to packed rooms – Body Language are excited to reveal a video for their latest single “Really Love.” Directed by Dirby it debuted via Under The Radar who said in the video, “we see a scenario reminiscent of Alice following the white rabbit down the rabbit-hole, but things get very risqué very quickly as the subject of the video finds herself in what looks like a glittery dance club/orgy.”
Watchthe slightly NSFW video for “Really Love” below. The single is available at digital retailers and on limited edition 7-inch red vinyl via B3SCI Records. It can be purchased here.

With his effortlessly unique brand of electronic pop, Oceaán‘s self-titled debut EP saw its protagonist, Oliver Cean, thrust into the spotlight with acclaim coming from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and KCRW as well as online tastemakers such as FADER, Dazed and Confused, Electronic Beats and many more.
In “The Grip” EP Cean’s work continues to expand on its electronic foundations with awe-inspriring new intricacies and explorative influences. Says Cean of the new EP:
“‘I wanted to explore the duality between lyrical context and conceptual production. Taking influences from many facets of electronic music, my main aim was to investigate the effectiveness of songwriting within the electronic plane – whether it be marrying a lyrical concept with similar tonal aspects (inherently present within the production), and more importantly, creating and displaying disparity between them.”
Out on B3SCI Records on November 17th 2014.
