boerd – It Fades Away
After delivering his breakout mini-LP ‘Static’ through Anjunadeep in April of last year, Swedish producer Bård Ericson (aka boerd) returns with ’It Fades Away’, lifted from his next EP, ‘Misplaced I’.
A regular member of the Royal Swedish Opera, Swedish Radio Symphony, and Stockholm Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ericson has also proven himself as an accomplished bass player for numerous ensembles around the world. Touring Tokyo, Stockholm, and New York, the producer performed in the Philip Glass opera ‘Satyagraha’ earlier this year (including four sold out shows in Brooklyn’s illustrious Harvey Theatre), he also recently contributed as a member of Andrea Bocelli’s orchestra throughout his Scandinavian tour. This deep immersion in the classical world of opera and orchestra is masterfully exhibited in boerd’s otherworldly sound.
With influences that range from Bibio, Burial and Aphex Twin, his latest single ‘It Fades Away’ looks to expand on the experimental path he forged with ‘Static’. Blending short and sparse electronics over an atmospheric and haunting backdrop, boerd’s sound feels assured, distinct and aesthetically refreshed for 2019.
Speaking about his return, the producer added, “I wrote this song at a time when I was pretty confused about some personal stuff, and the music seems to reflect that. I feel pretty confused all the time to be honest; I think most people do.”
“‘It Fades Away’ features my own vocals, some guitars, and an acoustic piano processed beyond recognition for the introduction. I also recorded a bunch of unusual foley sounds that I resampled and used as percussion.”
boerd released his new single ‘It Fades Away’ on the 14th May via Anjunadeep. His forthcoming four-track EP ‘Misplaced I’ is arriving on the 31st May. EP Pre-order: https://Anjunadeep.lnk.to/BMPpr
BAILE feat. Kauf – Painting Out
Brooklyn-based producer Reed Kackley (aka BAILE) makes his full Anjunadeep introduction with the Painting Out EP. As heard on Anjunadeep 10, ‘Soft Light’ is a thoughtfully constructed journey through BAILE’s visceral production style, whilst LA electronic outfit Kauf provide a compelling vocal feature on the title track. London’s Anii closes out the EP with a tribal-infused club rework to transform ‘Painting Out’ from idyllic downtempo into a tech-heavy club edit.

Cubicolor – No Dancers
British/Dutch trio Cubicolor have shared a brand new single ‘No Dancers’.
Once again, the trio’s capacity for inimitable, sincere songwriting is exemplified in this new release; front man Tim Digby-Bell’s melancholic lyrics are enveloped in a rich arrangement of arpeggiated synthesisers and cascading keys, creating a dreamlike soundscape that is at once foreboding and promising. On the track, Tim explains:
“It’s an intimate song, but one that we wanted to work just as well in clubs as on your headphones or in your bedroom. The song is a searching; for something to believe in, something real, and always treading that balance between a desire to lead, and a desire to follow.”
George FitzGerald – Burns (Lane 8 Remixes)
Lane 8 is famed for his magic touch with remixes, highlighted in his iconic takes of Odesza’s ‘Bloom’, Deadmau5’s ’Strobe’, Eric Prydz’s ‘Liberate’ and Maribou State’s ‘Wallflower’ to name a few. Returning to Anjunadeep, the label he initially broke with, e Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 returns with two further stellar reworks of George FitzGerald’s 2017 anthem ‘Burns’
Lane 8’s ‘Morning Mix’ is an ode to the lush atmosphere of the original, a highlight from George’s sophomore album ‘All That Must Be’ released earlier this year on Domino. An instant hit, it was debuted in Lane 8’s Radio 1 Essential Mix and recently supported by Pete Tong, among others.
The ‘Club Mix’ is a showcase of Lane 8’s trademark peaktime sound and amps up the original’s energy in his unique style.
Released on Anjunadeep.
A staple in his recent festival sets, it is likely to feature across his forthcoming Little By Little Phase 2 Tour.
Cubicolor – Boxed Out
Cubicolor share new single ‘Boxed Out’, encapsulating their trademark sound, with a wall of layered synths surging beneath Tim’s soaring vocal refrain – “nobody told me nothing.” On the single, Tim explains:
“‘Boxed Out’ channels the struggle we feel between our constant need to be ‘online’ and connected versus our the need for real human interactions. Technology can move so fast these days you can barely catch a breath; ‘Boxed Out’ came from a sense of how isolating that can feel. While recording, I switched my phone to only display black and white and have kept it this way since. It’s keeps the brain from getting a rush of dopamine from the insane amount of visual input we stare at every day.”
OUT NOW ON ANJUNADEEP.
Alongside the new single, Cubicolor announce their debut European live tour this October, taking in London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
Planète – Alone In Parallel / Faded Memory
Two new tracks from Melbourne-producer Planète, ‘Alone in Parallel / Faded Memory’, out now on UK dance label Anjunadeep.

He’s also become a staple on the festival circuit, appearing at Splendour in the Grass, Melbourne Music Week and Strawberry Fields over the past 12 months as well as supporting the likes of Jacques Greene and Jon Hopkins on their recent Australian tours.
Cubicolor – Fictionalise (Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas Remix)
Following the release of their acclaimed debut LP ‘Brainsugar’, Cubicolor return with a remix of ‘Fictionalise’ from iconic Norwegian duo Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas.
The pioneering pair have achieved notoriety over the past 13 years since first working together, with a remarkable back catalogue of influential work including much-loved solo albums, a collaborative LP, and joint remixes for the likes of The Chemical Brothers and Roxy Music. The duo join forces again for the first time since 2012 on a melancholic, disco-tinged remix, following a fruitful few years of solo releases which have been acclaimed by the likes of Pitchfork, Resident Advisor, BBC 6Music and NPR.
