Copenhagen’s M.I.L.K. is today sharing a phenomenal remix of his new single ‘Following The Sun’ – put together by talented Athens-based producer, Craves.

Catch the original version of the track here.

M.I.L.K. (real name: Emil Wilk) has pioneered a distinctive sound and visual style very much of his own since the project’s inception. An intriguing concoction of sun-drenched production, swaying percussion, and sumptuous melodies, M.I.L.K.’s songwriting harks back to the time of 70’s legends such as Curtis Mayfield or Shuggie Otis, but most certainly hints at more modern electronic acts such as Jungle, Rhye or Leisure when it comes to production and overall expression.

The new remix of ‘Following The Sun’ released today, was put together by in-demand Greek producing prodigy Craves. The track has been chopped up beautifully, adding manipulated steel-drum samples to the equation in the verses, with a gorgeous, warped synth led chorus taking the track to a whole new place.

Speaking on the release of the new Craves remix, M.I.L.K. said: “I fell in love with Craves from the first time I heard his stuff. Actually I don’t think I’ve been more psyched discovering an electronic artist since I first came across SBTRKT or Jai Paul or other producers of their calibre.”

A sound and style that has been in high-demand since his first unofficial release last year, has M.I.L.K. a sought after collaborator both within music as a songwriter, and within the world of visuals. He has directed music videos and documentaries for a number of fellow Scandinavian artists such as Blondage, Reptile Youth and many more. Discussing his universe, and its development over the past 6 months or so, M.I.L.K. says: “some people have described what I do as summery or dreamy. I don’t know. I just love things that stink of summer.”

Following The Sun’ is out now via London-based singles club 0E0E (Broen, Great News, SLØTFACE, etc.): https://0e0e.lnk.to/milkfollowingthesun
