DJ Shadow has unveiled a new song from his forthcoming album ‘The Mountain Will Fall.’ The track is titled “Nobody Speak,” a collaboration with Run The Jewels. ‘The Mountain Will Fall’ will be released June 24 on Mass Appeal Records and includes the previously released title-track.

Occasionally, I make a beat that demands a specific vocal treatment and attitude. In the case of ‘Nobody Speak,’ I wasn’t going to settle for anyone other than Run The Jewels; in my mind, it was them or no one. Fortunately, they agreed, and they took the track to a place I could never get to on my own. That’s the definition of a rewarding collaboration.” – DJ Shadow

Shadow is a legend and a friend. When he makes music he often changes music forever. When he asked us to jump on the record we didn’t blink.”
– El-P of Run The Jewels

“Nobody Speak” is part of the Run The Jewels’ Record Store Day release this Saturday. The RSD exclusive, dubbed “VRTJ” is a Virtual Reality cardboard viewer that comes with a download code for the collaborative track.

DJ Shadow will host three Beats 1 shows this year, the first of which will air in June. The show will be called DJ Shadow Presents: #radioface.
