Video: SURAHN – Into The Distance

Surahn Sidhu, otherwise known as Surahn, adds another milestone to his career belt today, with the release of second single “Into the Distance” – out via his own imprint, Utopian State. The track is being released with a visually indulgent video that spans a golden sunset, a motorbike and a magnificent stretch of sand.

Following his previous single, “Wanted To Fly”, Australia’s Surahn doesn’t fail to soothe the senses once again. Soft percussion is underlined by a sumptuous bass groove on the new track – sparking comparisons with Jazz-funk luminaries in the guise of James Mason and beyond. The video pans across a sun-kissed beach and the mellow vocals transport the visuals into a dreamlike daze, perfectly complementing the psychedelia-heavy track.

Also known in a more electronic-guise as Sidwho?, Surahn has achieved high acclaim in his career to date, most recently slaying in the US playing DJ sets in NYC, LA and San Francisco. He performed in the Flight Facilities x MSO show in Melbourne last October, that featured a 90-piece orchestra and included a massive lineup of guests such as Reggie Watts, Owl Eyes and Katie Noonan – and toured as guest vocalist for the entire Australian summer series of major festivals.

The Adelaide-born musician includes being the founding member of The Swiss and a long-time touring member of Empire of the Sun as highlights on his musical CV – and has a forthcoming album sure to display all his finest musical expertise.

Watch the video and enjoy three minutes of guilt free reverie.
