House Of Black Lanterns – Triumphantism
With releases on Warp Records (as Zilla), Ninja Tune (as King Cannibal) and the likes of Houndstooth and Hypercolour (as House of Black Lanterns) on his CV, Berlin based Dylan Richards is one of electronica’s most widely travelled and respected artists, a reputation sure to be burnished with the release this November of his new album ‘You Were Telling Me of Mountains’.
Having experimented with Hip-Hop, Drum’n’Bass, Dancehall, Dubstep, Techno and House throughout his career, ‘Mountains’ sees Richards bring everything together to tackle the Everest of recorded music, the concept album. Electing to self release the album via Bandcamp, this creative control and freedom has allowed Richards to present the album exactly as he wants, as two pieces of music each containing several movements.
Now Richards is streaming one of the album’s movements, ‘Triumphantism’, on Soundcloud and has made it available to download for free here.
‘You Were Telling Me Of Mountains’ is out on November 6th via Bandcamp.
