Video: Grace Acladna – London

grace

“London” is the second track from Grace Acladna, a singer, songwriter and producer who makes glorious soulful pop songs.

The 22 year old has many strings to her bow. As well as writing and producing all her own music, she also makes the visuals to her songs, including her latest video for “London.”

“London” is Grace’s striking soulful ode to the city she calls home. The video depicts the conflicted feelings Grace feels towards the city – at once in love with it and at the same time disenchanted by it.

Her debut EP “Songs of the Subconscious” is an otherworldly pop voyage through soul, psychedelica, jazz and electronica.

The multi-talented Londoner comes from a family of Egyptian Choir Mistresses, Bajan gospel singers and a lineage to Halim El-Dabh (her great great uncle is one of the earliest pioneers of electronic music – having composed the first piece of electronic tape music in 1944).

The EP will be released on 14th September 2015 via Hometown Recordings this summer and has already found fans at BBC Radio 1 with Huw Stephens and Phill Taggart, plus Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga. With her rich melodies, songwriting skills and production talents, Grace’s upcoming extended play is set to be one of the most anticipated music works of the year.
