POPULOUS – Night Safari Remixed
One of the most exciting Italian talents to emerge from the electronic world of late, Populous’ aesthetic combines exotic trips amidst world sounds and the exploration of pop music, from ancient ethnic instruments to the low pitch of the 808.
Night Safari, the most recent album out on Folk Wisdom / Bad Panda, marked his comeback six years after the issue of Drawn In Basic, his full-length published by Morr Music in 2008.
Night Safari imposed Populous as one of the main protagonists of the new independent electronic scene, receiving broad support and admiration by artists and producers themselves. Many of them asked to remix the tracks of the album. And here is Night Safari Remixed, proposing the original songs revisited by producers, close or not to Populous musical scene, from every corner of the world: the Iranian Kali (Maral Salmassi), the Japanese Anchorsong, the German Schneider TM, the South African John Wizards the British Lukid, the Argentinian Barrio Lindo, the Dutch Cairo Liberation Front, the Italian Indian Wells, The Greek Lary Gus and many others.
